Biofilters and compost

For efficient and sustainable management of industrial waste

BBA Ecotech has formulated a complete line of advanced solutions for biofiltration and composting, which improves the maturation time of compost and accelerates its formation and stabilization processes.

Efficient waste management and the production of high-quality compost are at the heart of industrial depuration, as well as being essential to ensure environmental sustainability and operational efficiency.

The aim of our constant research is to provide solutions that not only increase the efficiency of industrial purification processes, but also support the transformation of waste into valuable resources.

Biofilters Line

MasterBiofilter: the bacterial additive for biofilter activation

MasterBiofilter completely degrades all malodorous substances that enter in the biofilter (amines, mercaptans, reduced sulphur forms, etc.) by reducing expensive maintenance and cleaning of the filter media and extending the intervals between replacements.

MasterBiofilter is suitable for the treatment of:

  • Shell biofilters
  • Plant fibre biofilters
  • Fibre biofilters
  • Biofilters with perforated filter
MasterBioscrubber: the formulation designed to activate bioscrubbers

Bioscrubber is a biological treatment technology for gaseous emissions using a combination of an absorber (scrubber) and a bioreactor. Its purpose is to remove gaseous pollutants by transferring them to a liquid phase and then biologically degrade them.

It is particularly effective for the treatment of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and water-soluble polluting gases and for the treatment of.

  • Bioscrubber and discs
  • Bioscrubber percolators and/or louvred
MasterBiotrickling: the bacterial additive for biological air treatment (biotrickling filters)

Biotrickling is a very advanced biological air treatment process and is used for the removal of polluting organic compounds from industrial gaseous emissions, such as organic solvents or particularly malodorous compounds, often present in low concentrations.

Compared to biofilters, biotrickling plants are able to treat higher concentrations of pollutants. From the mechanical point of view, the system is similar to a scrubber in which the oxidizing solution is continuously recirculated and consists of bacteria and not chemical reagents (biochemical oxidation).

The incoming air passes through a filter bed with an adequate porous surface on which microorganisms adhere, proliferate and create the active biofilm capable of degrading organic pollutants.

MasterBiotrickling is a powder bacterial additive specially designed for the biological treatment of air in Biotrickling systems, and suitable for every type of filter bed:

  • Shell biofilter
  • Plant fibre biofilters
  • Volcanic lapil biofilters
  • Biofilters percolators and/or louvred
  • Biofiltri percolatori a lamelle

Composting line

MasterComp: The bacterial additive for compost treatment

MasterComp is a powder formulation that can improve the composting process by accelerating degradation kinetics. This process turns green and organic waste into compost which can be used as a natural fertiliser.

MasterComp accelerates the degradation of solid organic material and has a synergic action on leachates. It controls the formation of bad odors and is active in both aerobic and anaerobic environments with excellent results. Promotes the maturation of compost through a controlled decomposition of organic substances.

MasterComp is successfully used in both pile and composting.

BACP®: the bioactivator of natural composting process

BACP® is a special mixture of spores of the genus Bacillus, designed to be applied on an absorbent support specific for the collection of the wet fraction of waste (biocatcher) and which acts as a bioactivator of the natural compost process once delivered to the disposal and composting facility

With BACP®, any organic waste can be transformed into compost and become a real resource useful for environmental sustainability.

BACP® offers many advantages: it controls putrefactive fermentation, eliminates the formation of bad odors, activates composting directly from the garbage bin, reduces weight and volume of waste, reduces the time of maturation of compost by up to 15% and contributes to the production of quality compost.
